Historic Day of Celebration: Honoring OCYAK Kilimanjaro Youth Chairman Moses Lenku

Date: August 19, 2024

Yesterday marked a truly historic day for the Orthodox Christian Youth Association of Kenya (OCYAK) as we joined His Eminence Archbishop Makarios, Rev. Fr. Tito Parmuat, and the clergy and faithful of St. Nectarios and Thecla Oloitoktok Orthodox Church in celebrating a significant milestone within our community.

Celebrating Moses Lenku’s Achievement

The day was filled with joy and excitement as James Mwaura, Chairman of OCYAK, and Joshua Kimani, General Secretary, led the OCYAK team to congratulate our Bishopric Youth Chairman, Moses Lenku, on his outstanding achievement. Hundreds of people gathered to witness and share in the joyous occasion of Moses’ graduation, a moment that resonated deeply within our youth movement.

For us, it was not just a moment of celebration but a time of deep reflection on God’s grace and the growth He has bestowed upon our youth community. We are immensely grateful to Him for guiding and inspiring young leaders like Moses, who continue to be shining examples within the Church and society.

Encouragement to the Youth

During the celebration, James Mwaura and Joshua Kimani encouraged the youth present to take inspiration from Moses’ dedication and perseverance. They highlighted the importance of striving for excellence in both faith and community service, encouraging the youth to follow Moses’ example and commit to becoming better community members and future leaders.

As a Church and as a youth movement, we believe that the sky is the limit for Moses and all other young people who are dedicated to their spiritual and personal development. We are confident that with God’s grace, they will continue to grow into responsible, compassionate, and visionary leaders who will make a lasting impact on their communities.

Gratitude and Moving Forward

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Moses Lenku on this well-deserved achievement. His success is a testament to the power of perseverance, faith, and dedication. As a youth movement, we look forward to witnessing even more growth and success among our members as we continue to serve God and our Orthodox Church in Kenya.
