JOSHUA KIMANI

Joshua Kimani is a prominent legal Professional, SDG Advocate and dedicated youth leader based in Nairobi, Kenya.
He currently serves as the Lead Legal Researcher and Consultant at Kimani, Kiarie & Associates Advocates, where he specializes in complex litigation, conveyancing, and environmental law. Joshua is also the General Secretary & Head of Partnerships for the Orthodox Christian Youth Association of Kenya (OCYAK), where he leads initiatives in youth empowerment, interfaith dialogue, and environmental conservation. Joshua also serves as the Ecological Coordinator of Suprasl: A World Fellowship of Orthodox Youth, the Global Umbrella Body that organizes global youth events. Joshua completed his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) at the University of Embu in 2024, where he engaged extensively in legal research, moot court competitions, and case studies.
He is an accredited Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CiArb) UK and has been actively involved in arbitration proceedings and alternative dispute resolution. In his role at OCYAK, Joshua spearheads programs that focus on environmental sustainability and climate justice, fostering partnerships with international organizations and managing youth advocacy campaigns. He also directs climate change training programs for Kenyan county governments through his position at the Africa Climate Law and Policy Hub.
Joshua’s leadership extends to his involvement with the UNEP Faith for Earth Youth Council and his previous role as Head of the Partnerships Committee for the Kenya Model United Nations. His research has been published in leading legal journals, addressing topics such as climate justice and strategic litigation. Honored severally with the Best Legal Researcher Awards and Outstanding Youth Leadership Awards, Joshua’s contributions reflect his commitment to justice, environmental stewardship, and youth development.
